If your Withings Blood Pressure Monitor doesn't turn on, perform the following steps:
- Remove the batteries from the monitor and clean the battery contacts using a cotton swab moistened with rubbing alcohol. Next use a dry cotton swab to remove any residue.
- Replace the batteries with fresh, non-rechargeable batteries of either Duracell or Energizer brand as other batteries may not be able to provide sufficient power to run the monitor.
- Ensure that when replacing the battery cap that you turn it 1/4 rotation clockwise, otherwise the batteries will not make proper contact and the monitoring will either not turn on or it will display a 'Low Battery' message. Below you will find an image which shows the way the cap should be placed:
The image on the left shows the proper placement for the cap. If you can see the small plastic legs of the cap which appear on the image on the right, then it is not properly placed.
Note: When replacing the batteries, they should be oriented so that the polarity symbol (+/-) shown for each battery slot in the battery compartment matches the polarity symbol on the battery that is pointing out of the slot (e.g. If a battery slot shows the '+,' the positive side of the battery should face up, toward the battery cap).
