The activation process for “Scan Monitor” in the United States (i.e., the ECG feature) will be performed under the responsibility of a certified cardiologist. This means that a board-certified cardiologist will review the first ECG recording made using the watch. After the ECG has been reviewed and validated by the certified cardiologist, the feature will be unlocked for continued use. This ECG review is handled automatically by the Withings app when you complete the ECG tutorial and does not incur any additional costs. To start the activation process and receive authorization to use the “Scan Monitor” ECG feature, please refer to this article.
