Should I use the Wi-Fi Body Scale if I wear a pacemaker?
No, you should not use the Wi-Fi Body Scale if you wear a pacemaker or other internal medical device. The Wi-Fi Body Scale circulates a small electrical signal in your body to perform some of its measurements such as fat mass and heart rate, which may interfere with a pacemaker or other medical device. However, our Wireless Scale and Withings Body Scale model can be used even if you wear a pacemaker.
Note: If you already own the Wi-Fi Body Scale and wish to keep it you can use it as long as you disable the body fat measurements from the Dashboard. You can do so from the Withings App.
Should I use my scale while I am pregnant?
There are no known risks associated with pregnant women using Withings scales.
However, you cannot expect an accurate fat mass reading. Therefore, we recommend disabling fat mass measurement. You can do so from the Withings App.
