Should I use the Smart Body Analyzer if I wear a pacemaker?

No, you should not use the Smart Body Analyzer if you wear a pacemaker or other internal medical device. The Smart Body Analyzer circulates a small electrical signal in your body to perform some of its measurements such as fat mass and heart rate, which may interfere with a pacemaker or other medical device. However, our Wireless Scale and Nokia Body Scale model can be used even if you wear a pacemaker.

Note: If you already own the Smart Body Analyzer and wish to keep it you can use it as long as you disable the body fat measurements from the Dashboard. You can do so from the Health Mateapp.


Should I use my scale while I am pregnant?

There is no known risks associated with pregnant women using Nokia scales.

However, you cannot expect an accurate fat mass reading. Therefore, we recommend to disable the fat mass measurement. You can do so from the Health Mateapp.



From the Nokia Health Mate app

  1.  Open the Nokia Health Mate app.
  2. Tap My devices.
  3. Tap Smart Body Analyzer.
  4. Deselect Fat mass and heart rate measurement.

Note: When you deactivate the fat mass measurement, it is deactivated for all the users of your account.
