How does the Smart Body Analyzer measure the air quality of the room?

The Smart Body Analyzer has embedded air quality sensors that automatically perform a carbon dioxide and temperature measurement every 30 minutes. Carbon dioxide concentration is measured in ppm (parts per million). Temperature readings are provided either in Fahrenheit degrees or Celcius degrees.

Where do I find my air quality measurements?

Carbon dioxide and temperature readings are synced with the Withings Withings App every time you weigh in, and at least once a day, automatically,  if you do not weigh in. An air quality chart showing your room's air quality trend is also displayed by the scale when you weigh in.

Why is tracking carbon dioxide concentration in my home useful?

High carbon dioxide concentration indicates that your home is not well ventilated, which likely results in the presence of air contaminants. At very high levels, carbon dioxide may deteriorate sleep quality, cause headaches, or even more serious health issues.

What are the good and bad levels of CO2?

Normal CO2 Levels

350 - 450 ppm : Normal outdoor level
450 - 1000 ppm : Acceptable levels
1000 ppm : ASHRAE and OSHA standards
1000 - 2500 ppm : General drowsiness

Extreme and Dangerous CO2 Levels
30,000 ppm : Slightly intoxicating, breathing and pulse rate increase, nausea
50,000 ppm : Above plus headaches and sight impairment
100,000 ppm : Unconscious, further exposure death
