- Make sure that the BPM is well positioned on your arm, properly tightened, with the cylinder aligned with the artery.
Note that the BPM supports arm sizes within the 9 - 17 inches (22 to 42 cm) of circumference. Arm sizes outside of this range may result in inaccurate results or failed measurements. - Make sure that you are seated with your feet flat on the floor, and that you are resting your arms on a table during the measurement. This will ensure that your arm is at approximately the same level as your heart.
- Make sure that you remain still and that you don't talk or cough during the measurement.
Note that measurement errors can also be caused by low batteries. If you are still receiving an error message after following the guidelines above, please replace them with non-rechargeable batteries.
