The Health Mate app is compatible with the following list of iOS devices, provided they run iOS 10 or higher:

  • iPhone 5 or higher
  • iPad 4th Gen or higher
  • iPad Mini (all generations)
  • iPod Touch 6rd Gen or higher

Version 3.4.2 is available for users of iOS 8 and 9.

Important note: If you have never installed Health Mate and have a version of iOS prior to iOS 10, you will be unable to install the app on your iOS device. In order to install Health Mate on a device running a version of iOS prior to iOS 10, you must:

  • Log into your Apple AppStore/iTunes account on an iOS device running iOS 10 or higher
  • Download the Health Mate app on that device (it can be deleted after it is downloaded)
  • Return to their iOS device and they should now be able to download Health Mate

While following this process will allow you to install Health Mate on your iOS device, you may not have access to all of the latest features or be able to install products that require a version of iOS that is greater than the version that you are using.

iPad

While there isn't a fully optimized version for the iPad, you can still install the iPhone app on your iPad. Besides possible display issues, the only limitation is that you won't be able to measure your heart rate using the camera.

iOS 6 / iOS 7

If your device is running iOS 6 (if you have an iPhone 3GS, for example), you still have the option of installing the app, although you won't be able to get the latest versions and enjoy all the new features. 

To do so, you need to download the Health Mate app on iTunes from your computer. You can then go to App Store > Updates > Purchases on your device and download a compatible version.

If you have iOS 7, you will be prompted to download the latest version of Health Mate 2 when you look for it in the App Store.
