This article will help you if you encounter any of the following issues:

- You have trouble finding your Withings Activité / Pop via Bluetooth
- Your Withings Activité / Pop doesn't restart after the installation
- Your Withings Activité / Pop doesn't vibrate when you press the reset button
- The setup process fails

Before proceeding with troubleshooting, please make sure that your device is compatible with the Withings Activité / Pop.

Note: if you think your problem is related to the watch hands or battery, please read this article.



You have trouble finding your Withings Activité / Pop via Bluetooth

  1. Make sure your Withings Activité / Pop is close enough to your mobile device (10 m/30 ft.).
  2. Make sure your Withings Activité / Pop vibrate when you press the reset button.
  3. Disable and re-enable Bluetooth on your mobile device, if necessary.
  4. If your Withings Activité / Pop is still not detected in Bluetooth, press the reset button five times. After pressing the button five times, your Withings Activité / Pop should vibrate twice.
  5. Try the installation process again.


  • Android 6 users may have to change the permissions of the app to be able to connect via BLE. To do so, go to Settings > Apps > Withings > Permissions and enable Location.
  • If the watch was previously installed with the same phone, make sure to “forget” your device in the Bluetooth settings and uninstalled in the Health Mate app”
  • A low battery could cause detection issues. Changing the battery could help.

Your Withings Activité / Pop doesn't restart after the installation

If your Withings Activité / Pop doesn't restart after the installation, try to perform a factory reset. To do so, perform the following steps:

  1. Go to the Settings of your mobile device, select Bluetooth and locate the watch in the list of devices. Select the small icon to the right of the watch and select the option to Forget or Remove the device. 
  2. Press the reset button five times.
    Make sure your Withings Activité / Pop vibrates each time you press the button. After pressing the button five times, your Withings Activité / Pop should vibrate twice. If the reset has been correctly performed, the hands should display 10:10.
  3. Try the installation process again. 

Your Withings Activité / Pop doesn't vibrate when you press the reset button

If your Withings Activité / Pop Pop doesn't vibrate, perform the following steps:

  1. Try pushing the reset button more firmly with the tool.
  2. Try pushing the button at different angles with the tool, as some angles may give better results than other.

Note: if you have issues reinstalling the watch after a battery change, make sure the back case of the watch is replaced. If not, here is how to replace it properly.


The setup process fails

 If the setup process fails:

  1. Make sure you have access to the internet on your mobile device.
  2. Make sure that you don't put the app in the background during the installation process.
  3. Make sure that your mobile device is not asleep during the installation process.
  4. Keep your Withings Activité / Pop close to your mobile device during the installation process.

Note: if your Health Mate app says that the PIN or pairing code is incorrect, it means that your mobile device needs to be restarted.

Note: If after following all the previous steps you still have no sleep data, please perform a factory reset.
