Overview

Withings has determined that a small percentage of our first generation ScanWatch (model HWA09) may experience waterproofness issues due to a possible component failure on the back side of the watch. Affected watches were manufactured between August 2020 and February 2022.

If the back case of your ScanWatch seems to have separated from the rest of the uniy, or if you notice moisture inside the watch, it may be eligible for the exchange program, provided that the date of purchase is not more than 3 years old, and that you also have the invoice to determine the date of purchase.

If your watch was purchased more than 3 years ago, it will not be eligible for the exchange program.

Note: Withings watches or activity tracker models other than ScanWatch/HWA09 do not qualify for this program. 

Exchange Program Process

Withings will exchange eligible watches, free of charge.

• When possible, make sure that you have synced your watch to prevent any loss of data.
  
• If you have purchased the watch with one of our authorized retailers and not on our website, make sure that you have the invoice from the retailer available.
• Contact our Support and provide them with your watch serial number and a photo showing the issue.

Note: If your ScanWatch has any physical damage that may corrupt the waterproofness, such as a cracked watchface, we won’t be able to process the exchange.

Important Information

Withings will be able to provide an exchange only to customers located in the US, Canada, Mexico, and Europe.

You will not need to send back your current watch. The watch will be deactivated shortly after you receive your replacement ScanWatch. We recommend to recycle it in accordance with local electronics recycling guidelines.

This exchange program doesn't extend the standard warranty coverage of the ScanWatch and covers affected ScanWatch for 3 years after the first retail sale of the unit. If your watch is exchanged during the original warranty, the replacement product is still covered under the warranty of the original product, or for 180 days - whichever is longer.
