Preparing for a Measurement
Make sure you follow these guidelines before taking a measurement:
- Ensure you are seated in a calm and relaxed position with your feet flat on the floor.
- If you are taking a measurement on someone else, you should both be quiet and keep still.
- Do not move your fingers on the device during the recording, this can cause friction noises in the recording.
- Wait at least 10 minutes after waking up or working out before taking your measurement.
- Ensure you are at least 1.5 feet from any power outlets or large electronic devices (such as computers, tvs, etc).
- Ensure the area you are in is quiet and you cannot hear any ambient noise.
- Use headphones, plugged in the provided USB-C to headphone jack adapter, to listen to the recording live and ensure optimal audio quality.
- Wear at most one thin layer of clothing for the stethoscope recordings.
Note: Direct skin contact will ensure the most accurate recordings. - Ensure you don’t move your hand or body during the 15 second measurement.
- Ensure that the stethoscope is in contact with your body during the measurement and that it is perfectly still on your skin.
- When taking a heart recording, hold your breath to ensure your recording is as clear as possible.
