Preparing for a Measurement
Make sure you follow these guidelines before taking a measurement:
- Ensure you are seated with elbows on the table and your feet flat on the floor.
- Don't speak or move during recording (especially your fingers).
- Ensure your finger is clean but not overly dry. If you are unsure, we recommend you wash and dry your hands just before taking your measurement.
- Ensure your hands and fingers are not too cold. If so, warm them by rubbing them together before taking your measurement.
- Ensure your finger is not scarred or calloused at the point of contact.
- Wait at least 10 minutes after waking up or working out before taking your measurement.
- Ensure you and the BeamO are in the same ambient temperature for 10 minutes before taking your measurement.
- Ensure you are at least 1.5 feet from any power outlets or large electronic devices (such as computers, tvs, etc).
- Should only be used on adults age 18 (EU) or 21 (US) or older.

Notes:
- ECG/SpO2 is not available for people under 18 in EU and 21 in the US
- SpO2 is not available in the US
- AFib is not available in the US
- For EU users, if the ECG detects signs of AFib it will show "Atrial Fibrillation" on the BeamO's display. Any other message, such as "Sinus Rhythm" is normal and indicates no signs of AFib.
