Daily cleaning and upkeep
The U-Scan's surface is designed to be rinsed with each toilet flush, keeping it relatively clean every day. If necessary, you can clean the surface of the device with a mild soap and pat dry with a paper towel.
Warnings:
- Please only use mild soap, water, or the cleaning solution provided with the Cartridge to clean the surface of the U-Scan. Do not apply any other cleaning products, as they may affect the U-Scan's lifespan and accuracy.
- Please remove the U-Scan before cleaning your toilet. Bathroom and toilet bowl cleaning solutions often contain abrasive chemicals that can damage U-Scan.
Daily purging behavior (Why does the U-Scan make whirring mechanical noises?)
Every day at 11 am, U-Scan will automatically purge its fluid collection tube (used to collect your urine sample) by blowing air into the tube. This process is meant to remove any incidental fluid that is remaining inside the collection tube to ensure that the next measurement is as accurate as possible and to avoid any buildup of humidity within the device.

The flush water doesn't come into contact with U-Scan
This issue is often due to improper positioning or the wrong toilet clip size; however, some toilets won't be able to offer a significant amount of flushing water to clean the surface of U-Scan. Especially in these scenarios, we advise you to regularly clean the outer surface of U-Scan with water and mild soap for hygienic purposes.
