What is BPM Core?
BPM Core is the first blood pressure monitor that can record an electrocardiogram (ECG) and listen to the heart via a digital stethoscope in one measurement. With one simple, daily gesture, users can now monitor their blood pressure but also early detect two heart conditions: Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) and valvular heart diseases.
How does BPM Core work?
BPM Core adds more cardiovascular health insights to a daily blood pressure measurement at home in just 90 seconds. It also records an electrocardiogram with two stainless-steel electrodes located inside the cuff, and one on the tube, and, analyses heart sounds thanks to a digital stethoscope with a silicone membrane and a stainless-steel support located against the user’s chest during the measurement.
Should I use BPM Core if I wear a pacemaker?
No, you should not use BPM Core if you wear a pacemaker or electronic implants. BPM Core circulates a small electrical signal in your body to record your electrocardiogram (ECG), which may interfere with a pacemaker or other medical device.
Is BPM Core FDA/CE cleared?
BPM Core requires different levels of regulatory approval depending on each country. Whereas we have completed the discussions with European regulators and have received CE medical clearance, we are still working on getting clearance in other regions, including working with the FDA in the U.S.

How accurate is BPM Core?
BPM Core has received the medical CE marking. The performance of its 3 medical measurements have been validated with a clinical trial:
- Blood pressure measurements meet the requirements of the internationally recognized evaluation standard of blood pressure monitors developed by the European Society of Hypertension and the British Hypertension Society.
- Atrial fibrillation detection shows similar performance to a 12-lead ECG interpreted by a cardiologist.
- BPM Core detects valvular heart disease and has been validated against Doppler echocardiography, considered to be the gold standard.

What is the difference between BPM & BPM Core?
BPM Core has a Wi-Fi connection and includes an LED matrix screen to give you instant feedback directly on the device.
Also, BPM Core is the first at-home device that can measure blood pressure, take an electrocardiogram, and listen to the heart via a digital stethoscope in one recording.
What size arm does BPM Core fit?
BPM Core is intended for an arm circumference from 9 inches to 17 inches (22-42cm).
Who should use BPM Core?
All users that would like to follow their blood pressure and get more insights about their heart health with a simple measurement. BPM Core detects Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) and valvular heart diseases, two serious conditions that are related to hypertension.
Do I need to open the Health Mate app to use BPM Core?
You need to use the Health Mate app to set up your device and do your first measurement, but the app is not required afterward. Moreover, the Health Mate app allows users to follow their blood pressure and share their numbers with their practitioners.
How does the measurement work?
The measurement is done in two stages: first the blood pressure and heart rate measurement, and second the ECG and stethoscope recording, for which users need to place their hand on the metal electrode.
Can I share my data with family or doctor?
Yes, the process is quite easy in the Health Mate app. Furthermore, it is important to share the ECG record, in case the device detects a risk of atrial fibrillation.
How does it measure the blood pressure?
BPM Core has a cuff part that we will be placed on your left upper arm. The cuff contains a bladder that will inflate to measure the pressure in arteries and give a Systolic and Diastolic blood pressure result.
Can I decide to do the blood pressure measurement only?
Yes, if you don’t place your hand on the electrode, the device won’t do the second measurement part with digital stethoscope and ECG.
