Adding Users to your Device
You have two options to set up your BPM Connect for multiple users:
- Option 1 - Group all users under the same account (meaning that all users can access the other users' data)
- Option 2 - Create separate Withings accounts for each user (to keep each user's data private)
Note: There is a limit of 8 users per monitor.
Option 1: Users on the same Withings account
Once you've set up your monitor on a Withings account, all the users who have a profile under this account can use the monitor. Because this account is shared among its users, all users can access the data from other users by switching users within the Profile > Family section of the app. This option is often used for households/families who are sharing a single monitor.
If necessary, you can always add more users to your Withings App account:
- Open the Withings App.
- Select the Profile icon in the upper left corner.
- Scroll down to 'Family' and select Add.
- Fill the new user's name, birthdate, email and select Next.
- Confirm that you have consent from the user to add them to your account.
- Enter their height and weight
- The new user profile will appear in the app.
Note: You will need to perform a measurement before the monitor receives the new user's information.
Option 2: Users on different Withings accounts
You can create a separate Withings account for each user to make sure everyone's data stays private. Once the new account has been created, you can share the access to your monitor to the new account by performing the following steps:
- Open the Withings App.
-
Select the Devices icon in the upper right corner.
- Scroll to your BPM Connect.
- Tap Share (iOS) or Settings > Share your BPM Connect (Android).
Note: if you don't see the 'Share' option, we recommend that you reinstall your monitor in Wi-Fi. - Select how you want to share your monitor and who you want to share it with.
A link, which will be valid for 72 hours, will then be sent to the person(s) you’ve invited. They will be able to link the monitor to their account from there without having to install it from scratch.
Note: The Share option is only available if you have originally set up the monitor in Wi-Fi. If you've set it up in Bluetooth, you'll have to install the monitor from scratch on the new account.
