With the 8.4 update of the WIthings App we've introduced a more robust and secure method of authentication across all platforms that will ensure that no one else can access or change your personal data. This will occur when you perform certain "sensitive actions" which refer to any action that might require personal or account information, to ensure that no one else has accessed your account or any sensitive data.

Sensitive Actions

The following actions in the app will trigger the need for a security check:

• Deleting your account
• Changing your email address
• Separating your profile from another account
• Managing your multi-factor authentication
• Requesting recovery codes
• Account verification
• Transferring profiles to a new phone or removing an old phone

Note: Whenever you trigger a sensitive action like those listed above, there will be a ten minute period where no others will trigger to ensure they are not too frequent.
