Why am I being asked for a card when I already paid?

You subscribed to Withings+ when you ordered your device, but no payment method is registered for your W+ membership yet. We need one on file before the membership can start. Nothing is charged today.

   
I paid with PayPal (or Klarna, HSA/FSA). Why can't you use that?

Some payment methods can't be saved for future billing. To start your Withings+ membership, we need a card that can be saved. Nothing is charged today.
   
 

Will I be charged immediately after providing my card details?

No. Your card is only saved. Your first payment is at the end of your free trial (or at renewal if your plan has no trial). The price is shown on the screen.
   
 

When does my free trial start?

When your card is confirmed, not when you install your device. You don't lose any trial days while setting it up.
   
 

Why does it open a browser instead of staying in the app?

For security. Card details are entered only on our secure web page, never inside the app. You don't need to log in again. When you're done, the app unlocks by itself.
  

I no longer want Withings+. Can I use the app without it?

Yes. Cancel the membership via this link, or ask us to cancel it. Once cancelled, the app is no longer blocked.
   
 

Can I add my card later?

The screen reappears each time you open the app until you add a card or cancel. We may also send you reminders.
   
 

Is my card data safe?

Yes. Additionally, card entry happens only on our secure web page.
   
 

Can I cancel after adding my card?

Yes, any time. If you cancel before the trial ends, you won't be charged.

Help: I closed the page / I'm stuck on the screen. What do I do?

Close the app completely and launch it again. The screen comes back with the "Add payment method" button.
   
 

Help: I added my card but the app is still blocked

Wait a moment, then close the app completely and launch it again. If it is still blocked, contact us and we will check your plan.
   
 

Help: My card was declined

You will see the error on the web page and can retry with another card. The app stays blocked until a card is accepted.
