This would indeed be interesting as the results from my Body Scan seem very inaccurate (off by a factor of 2) and this is in fact even worse than the Body Cardio.

I would like to see those studies as well. My Body Scan is not only inaccurate but very inconsistent

I recently had a DEXA scan, and the outcome of that was a 20% body fat calculation, however the scales have me hovering around 8%, a significant difference.

I’d like to know that as well. But one point to remember is, precision rather than accuracy is what will be useful. Even if your scale says 10% and DEXA says 20%, using the scale regularly will show you how you are trending (assuming it’s precise).

I recently did a DEXA scan as well and the result was quite off from my Whitings Body Scan measures. Would be great if Withings publishes the results of their comparison study, so I can get a better understanding where the significant difference comes from.

Hello everyone,
Thank you for posting. I'm sorry to hear that your fat mass measurement from your Body Scan appears to be inaccurate compared to Dexa Scan. You may check this thread for the same post.
I have forwarded your feedback to our product team for the availability of the requested information.
Have a great day,

I have been using Body Scan for three weeks and had a DEXA scan done. The fat mass measurement from the Body Scan is calculating at 50% of the DEXA results. Each area of the body composition was equally low by 50%.Have been using a Garmin S2 and its measurements are within 2-3% of the DEXA results. Really like the Body Scan data it provides but wish it was accurate.
