Body Comp doesn’t measure body comp

Sorry to hear that your Body Comp doesn't measure your body composition. I'll share all the troubleshooting steps here, in case someone else has the same issue. First of all, did you check this article from our Help Center?

- Body Comp - My scale doesn't measure body composition. What should I do?

Make sure that:

1) The impedance is active. You can check that by going in your Health Mate app to Devices > your scale > All settings. If the button next to "Fat mass measurement" is gray and on the left, tap on it so it becomes blue and goes to the right. Once this is done, you will need to weigh yourself so that the changes sync to the scale. You will have to weigh yourself a second time before the scale begins to measure your body composition.

2) The body composition screens are enabled on your scale. For that, go in your app to Devices > your scale > Screen customization. Tap on "Customized" at the top of the screen then tap on the measurements you want to see on your Body Comp. You can see that they are activated if the button on the left is red.

3) The surface of your scale is clean. If it's not, I invite you to clean it with a lint-free cloth moistened with water (make sure that you do not use any detergents such as soaps or glass cleaners, as it could damage the scale).

When weighing yourself, ensure also that:

1) You stand barefoot on the scale.

2) Your feet are moist enough. If they are not, I recommend that you weigh yourself just after a shower as your feet will be sufficiently moist, even after drying them.

3) You are recognized by your scale. If you are, the scale will show your name when you weigh-in. If you are not, you will see a cross instead.

If the situation persists after that, you might need to perform a factory reset. For that, follow the instructions from this article. Note that, once you have reinstalled your scale, you may need to weigh-in up to 3 times before the scale begins to recognize you and measure your body composition.

If your Body Comp still don't measure your body composition after following these steps, please email us via http://within.gs/help so we can further investigate. In your email, please indicate if the issue occurs with other users of the scale and also join a picture of the scale's surface.
