Can the scanwatch battery be replaced?

Hello everyone,
Thanks for posting! At the moment we do not have the possibility to exchange the battery for your ScanWatch. Please contact our Customer Service under this link to find a solution for your individual situation.
Concerning general repairability, we are currently offering glass repairs on certain devices and in certain markets, but are actively working on providing a larger choice of hardware repairs in the near future.
Thank you for your feedback and have a great day!
Markus, Withings Customer Service
I would like to know too.
Is it possible? Can I open the housing? How?
Do we have to send it to withings? What are the costs?
My scan watch hyprid is only a little more then 2 years old, it only charges to 70% next morning it show battery empty.
2 years after warranty and the watch is broken. too bad

I love the watch but need to replace the battery too. It would seem irresponsible to have to throw the watch away because of this issue.

I just chatted with Withings support and they confirmed that the ScanWatch battery cannot be replaced. :-(
"Please know that we do not replace the battery of the watch since this is a built-in rechargeable battery."

Many thanks nstreet for that feedback. Withings should be ashamed of themselves. Their lack of concern for their clients and environmental issues is disappointing.

Hey, I got the scanwatch less than a year ago and I remember that when I bought it there was written about a warranty of one or two years, how do I get in contact with Withings to claim a substitution of a faulty product? (at least I hope it’s faulty, cause 300€ for a watch that last less than a year… ) and are they going to charge me something for the substitution?

waiting for a response from Withings about the failure of my battery or charger not sure which it is although by the comments above i am not holding out much hope for the issue to be fixed. seems like a lot of money to pay for watch which only lasts one or two years

I had to dispose of my Scanwatch at our local recycling centre due to the battery failure which caused the back to pop off. It was just over two years old. Withings doesn’t appear to be much concerned about environmental issues.

They've just brought out a new model which is equally bad on the battery front. I may have bought the ScanWatch 2 but this issue is enough to dissuade me.

This web is a mess. I wrote a few months ago due to my battery accelerated drainage since the last update and nobody is answering. I can't even find my post. I want a solution, My watch went from lasting 3 to 4 weeks down to merely a couple of days. I was in love with it but I'm starting to hate it, not because the malfunction itself --which just bothers me-- but because the lack of action and the difficulties of any straight way to contact with the Withings support guy. Lately, the hands appear displace everyone in a while and have to calibrate them it occasionally. Too often lately. So please, Withings people answer me. I'll wait a prudent time before asking about in the European Consumer Center. Please, do your part. You owe it to us --hundreds already-- with the same u¡issue. Thanks for your time, if ever..

Are you reading them at all?

Wow, my scanwatch battery is draining faster every time, but I was under the impression that it can be replaced. That sucks. Definitely not buying a new withings watch if that is the case. Why buy a timeless design to just throw it away after 2 years :(

The Scanwatch 2 is an expensive DISPOSABLE watch with the BATTERY that CANNOT BE REPLACED. Nowhere mentioned wih the product details at purchase.
