Body scan weight doesn't sync with 3rd part apps

Body Scan

This is exactly what happens with my new Body Scan scale. I have had a Body+ scale for six years and it syncs to 3rd party apps like MyFitnessPal with no issue. I have had the Body Scan for 5 days now, and none of my weight measurements sync to MyFitnessPal. I also disconnected and reauthorized all my 3rd party apps, and that did not help. I still have my Body+, and performed a weight measurement this morning. That measurement synced to MyFitnessPal.

Please, Withings, fix this issue! It is very frustrating that weight measurements from a new $400 scale are not synced, yet measurements are synced from a six year old scale that cost half as much when new.

I have similar problem and have been in contact with both Withings and Myfitnesspal Support since May 2023.
Since 6th May 2023 when I connected a new ‘Body Comp’, the weight has not been updated to Myfitnesspal. And therefore not transferred to Garmin Connect.
I have measurements visible on healthmate.withings.com and in the Android app.
Looking in the partner apps screens in App in both Healthmate and Myfitnesspal, they look connected.
I have tried to disconnect the link, and reconnected, then a new weight measure, but this did not fix it.
Since 2012 my old ‘Withings Body’ scale has transferred weight to Myfitnesspal, then Garmin Connect, as desired. And still does.
When I log a manual weight entry in Withings Healthmate, it transfers to Myfitnesspal - and Garmin Connect.
When I log a manual weight entry in Garmin Connect, it transfers to Myfitnesspal.
Something is not working with the new Withings scales.
Withings Support has been nice and polite. but not competent.

Thanks for your update, clausbon. I contacted Withings Support directly after posting my reply. They went through all the usual steps with me, but after a 40 minute chat I convinced them there is indeed an issue and a "Senior" support person is supposed to email me soon.

Got these updates from Withings Support earlier this year.

    June 7:
“…I would like to inform you that your case has been forwarded to our senior support specialist for further investigation. They have confirmed that they are currently investigating the issue and I am awaiting an update from them…”

    August 21:
“…I would like to inform you that our team is currently conducting an ongoing investigation into this matter…”

I feared your experience would involve months old escalations yet to be resolved. Here's to hoping my support interaction will turn out differently.

    I have same issue
But found Out that the body scan sync weight to MFP if the handle is not used.

Any updates on this? I bought the body comp as it’s able to sync to 3rd party apps. For me, it works fine but for my partner not. Manually added weight appears directly in MFP, but not a single one from the scale.
So as of now, unfortunately my recommendation for Withings is a strong “don’t buy”.

I gave up on Withings Body Comp integrations almost a year ago, and now have a neat link from Withings to Garmin, Strava & MyFitnessPal via Garmin - with SmartScaleSync 14.99 $/year.

I sorted out the sync. instead going withings to MFP and apple health, I am going withings to apple Health to MFP.

    works like a charm

Jaros - his route works! Withings to Apple Health to MFP to Garmin Connect. I’m on Android phone so this route won’t work but I set everything up on my iPad and can see all the data on Android phone.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions, Withings => Apple => MFP => Garmin works well now.

I'm glad that others have found various paths to getting their weigh-in data synced. For my point of view, having to go through those multi-step paths, or not even using the handle, are simply unacceptable solutions. Withings is asking too much money for their scales for supported integrations to not be working, and further for Withings support to offer no reasonable solution.

I returned my Body Scan scale some months ago, after a particularly aggravating support interaction where Withings attempted refusal of honoring their return process until I escalated four times. I have since gone to a far cheaper competitor's scale, which is both more consistent in day-to-day measurements, and syncs to my desired fitness providers with no issues.
