Here's how to force a sync.

    1. Open Withings app
    2. Tap on the tiny icon on the upper right, it has a picture of a watch and stuff.
    3. Select your scale by tapping on it.
    4. Scroll down to "check for updates"
    5. Long press the button on the back of the scale until you get the open withings app on the display
    6. Go through the update process, it doesn't matter if there are updates. The scale will force the app to sync.
    7. Exit update mode and see the data that you didn't get before.

My problem is a bit different: it slowly syncs so I can see the weight in the dashboard on the web (not on the app), but it doesn't display on the graph or Apple Health and other related apps. Please help!

I just started using my devices again after a year away & boy has the Withings backend & app gone downhill!

My scale sometimes syncs, sometimes doesn't...usually requires doing the "update" thing in the app with a press of the button on the back--which is a ridiculous "workaround".  My BPM Connect usually syncs to the web dashboard, but sometimes doesn't.  Even if it does, the iPhone app takes hours to receive the reading.  If it can't receive the reading, then neither will Apple Health.  It all used to work so well, but I suppose all the changes in ownership have led to some issues.

I have the same problem. I have taken every trouble shooting step to no avail . Yesterday, I contacted the chat line and the representative took me through the uninstall and reinstall the app. The sync occurred, but this morning I had to wait about 4 hours.

I have exactly the sane problem!
I also added a family member and the information never came at all!
The problem must be in withings server!

I just bought the product, and as I see in this forum the problem has more than 6 month!
I will consider returning the product to amazon!

Same problem! Wonder if Withings is working on this? Great product, but won’t recommend it until this is fixed!

Same thing here - I bought the scale BECAUSE of the syncing feature. This needs to be fixed. Data shows up on the web portal, but not in the app/apple health.

A possible solution I found on the iPhone is, turn OFF “Background App Refresh” in the settings for the Withings app (also found in Settings > General). Since then I get timely updates in the app. My guess is that if the app updates in the background, it doesn’t do so completely but gets confused. Perhaps turning off that feature forces a more complete update when opening the app.

It seems to be just iOS on my account. My android app refreshes normally - with the same account details.

I'll join this message. Of course, the above pressing the button on the back of the scale works, but that's not really the purpose of buying a wifi scale that Is supposed to sync properly.

I find the only way to have it update is to force quit the app but swiping up.

This company is incapable or unwilling to support its products. I have been given the run-around on a clearly defective scale for days and all I get are the same dead-end troubleshooting. The best this company can do is forever hand-wave to "senior support" to get you off the chat, and that senior support is nothing but a re-hash of a basic question or instruction you've already confirmed with the THREE prior support people you've been forced to go through the same bullsh*t with.
After five days and at least as many hours of literally begging for support for a defective scale, I can confidently say I will vigorously warn every human I ever communicate with for the rest of my life to avoid this company as though their lives depend on it.

Update...the app now updates properly. It says "Loading..." in the upper left corner when you open it. If it doesn't, swipe down the entire page to refresh.

So frustrating.  I weigh myself and the app takes days to update, if at all.. Yes, If I go to the online console, it shows the updated information, but the app still won't update.

Can confirm, turning off background app update helps, it lets you sync it manually when you go into the app. Hopefully Withings fix the properly…

This sucks, I’m thinking of returning the product and leaving a bad review on Amazon and Apple Store.

My web portal is also not synced. Had same issue with body+ which was a product as well.

Hello everybody, do you know if the sync issue is solved?

I still have a lot of problems. I have the app on my iPhone, my iPad and sometimes check the website. All with different data.

I normally weigh 2 times just to be sure and then cancel the double measures. But it become a mess.
