Setup failed after battery change

I have exactly the same issue

Take out one battery, hold the set up button on the back WHILE you put battery back in. The hello screen will show and then a screen with reset will come on. Your scale will now be able to show your weight when you step on it.

I got it working but it's very specific how to do it.

1. Delete scale from app
2. Delete device from Bluetooth settings
3. Factory reset scale but don't turn it on yet!!! If you do turn it on it will get stuck at step one in setup and eventually fail.
3. Open app and find device in list to install
4. Progress to where it says press button for 3 seconds then press button to turn on scale
5. Follow app instructions and it should work now

Same problem here. The scales were off for a few months after the batteries ran out. I put new batteries in but it also doesn't show the device in the app anymore. Bought them 3.5 years ago so it's out of guarantee. 

Does the company offer any customer service? Or is it just the forum here? Like you bought the product, now figure it out for yourselves. 

If change batteries and froze in Set-up, go into app on cell phone and 'Check for Updates', press black button = worked for me
