    Same issue.
    iPhone 14 Pro running iOS 17.3.
    Withings App 6.2.2.
    Background App Refresh set to ON.

    As soon as I open the Withings app the Health data is updated.

    The following is an opinion: When I open the Withings app it appears that the app has not yet collected the latest information from the scale. This happens very quickly. That is why I list this as an opinion. I’l try to collect a Screen Recording the next time so I can more carefully review exactly what the Withings app has.

    Checked Health this morning and Weight had not been updated.
    Started a Screen Recording.
    Recorded the information in Health.
    Then opened the Withings app.
    Noticed a ‘Loading’ at the top left part of the screen.
    Also scrolled down and saw Weight was last updated on 12/29.
    A few seconds later the screen refreshed and today’s data was presented.
    Checked Health shortly after and it had been updated as well.

    So, imho the issue seems to be the Withings app is not automatically collecting the readings from the scale. Once it has collected them the app seems to update Health just fine.
    My expectation was the app would pick up readings from the scale without any intervention on my part. Did I misunderstand something?

    Normally, the data are automatically downloaded from the Withings Server after opening the Withings App. However, without opening the Withings App, no data will be downloaded to the iPhone so that in this case they will not be transferred to the Health App. In other words, prior to transfer the data to the Health App you have to start the Withings App. I think, even if the Withings App runs in background the data are not downloaded automatically. In this case you have to pull down the screen by the respective pull down gesture.

    Withings support has indicated the issue is an ‘iOS restriction’.
    I haven’t seen a clear description of what the ‘restriction’ is.
    They never suggested the end user would have to open the app manually before Health would update.
