    Thank you for creating this thread and sorry to hear that you don't receive your notifications anymore since you udpated your watch to the 1981 firmware. Please know that our development team is aware of the situation and is working on a fix. I don't have any release date to communicate yet, but we will keep you informed here on this thread.

    I also have the same issue, I have tried the same steps as you have. After that I have contacted Withings support. They were very quick to answer and tried to get to the bottom of things so a big thanks to them! However, there have been no further suggestions apart from the possible solutions already listed. The app was updated today so maybe that will change something.

    I too have the same problem. After a FIRMWARE update, notifications on watch have stopped working. Having spoken to Support CHAT through app, this has been escalated to Senior Support. If not resolved, I will be aksing for a refund.

    Puchased this watch for its notification feature

    Thank you for your answers. It is obviously bigger problem, so there is hope that the repair will come soon.

    Unfortunately, updating the application to 6.3 does not solve the problem.

    Support also promised me that they would pass my problem on to a senior employee, but so far also without an answer.

    If it fails to resolve in the near future, I agree with chrissayers76 that it would be appropriate to request a refund.

    Same with me! Bought this watch yesterday and already got issues after one day using it.

    If the issue won‘t get solved in the next few days, I‘ll send it back.

    Same here for scan watch2. Just got the watch yesterday and couldn’t get the notification to work despite resetting and reinstalling everything. Very frustrating but at least I know I’m not the crazy one here. Thanks for sharing and I’ll be contacting customer support as well. If no fix, I’ll request a refund and purchase a
    Fossil watch instead (had fossil for two years and never had issues with notification)

    Same problem! I recommend everybody to report the issue to Customer Support on the support chat so that they know there are many people with this problem. After the basic troubleshooting they agreed to send the case to a "higher level of support for them to have a deeper look into this."

    Scanwatch Nova. iPhone 15 with latest iOS 17.3.1. Tried everything - factory reset, bluetooth "forget device", dissociated the product in Withings app and even app reinstall - nothing works. But the watch communicates with the phone (for example for aligning watch hands). It’s just that notifications are not working (and is a must for me...).

    I spoke to CHAT Support again this morning, asking for an update, but they couldnt assist. It must come from Senior Support Team.

    I did include this URL advising them its a widespread issue..

    Yes, please raise issue with support if you haven't already done so.

    note - They've been told, cannot keep watch without notifications.

    I spoke to Chat support (in France) this morning as you did. And yeah they raise an issue but absolutely no answer of the priority of this one. 

    The only answer I had was : Yes we know but we have no information from our team regarding this situation. 

    So I guess this problem was raised 4 days ago, for me, One week for a downgrade is enough ... So i'll also request a refund in 3 days

    I spoke with the German support and it seems that they are not aware of this issue yet. All basic troubleshooting attempts did not resolve the issue – after some research I found this community posting and forwarded it to the German Support Team.
    They said, as mentioned already by other users her, that they will follow this lead – let's hope that the Devs will be able to solve this issue soon.

    Edit: Meanwhile I have also tested to replicate this issue with an older model (Steel HR) and I was able to get the notifications.

    My Scanwatch 2 stopped sending training data to my phone after the last Wihtings software update (9 Feb). Other data (heartbeat etc) are still synchronised.

    Resetting and reinstalling all devices and apps did not solve the problem. Other devices still sync with the phone, so it must be a Withings software issue.

    This is very annoying.

    Hi Armelle, @ Withings Customer Service.

    I think we've all reported issue to your support staff. Have you now acknowledged there is a serious issue with update? If so, what is being done to resolve? Did the update not go through a testing process?

    Without notifications, my watch is 'faulty.'. I need to have an idea how long before a fix is found. I cannot wait weeks and months for a resolution. As debating whether to request a refund in the next few days - only bought the Nova 40 days ago which is not cheap!

    Well, I wish I would have read these forums before I ordered the ScanWatch 2 to replace my SteelHR. At the moment I don't utilize any of the notifications, so, I assume that won't bother me for the short term. After I receive my ScanWatch 2 will the Firmware update just happen automatically, or is that something over which we have control? Currently I'm on the TestFlight 6.3 because of bugs with iOS 17.4. 

    Oh, and my name is _Fred_ not "IAM" haha. It seams I/we don't have the ability to change our user name.

    During my initial setup process on the 12th of February, the firmware update happened automatically. There was no chance resp. not even an option to skip the firmware update.

    Adding myself to the list of people with issues following the 1981 update on Scanwatch 2. Have done all the resets/reboots and no success. Hopefully resolved soon, can't understand how this issue did not appear in testing. Oh and that link from support (at the top of the thread) doesn't open for me.

    Ditto - ever since that update my notification stopped working.  Likewise from the OP I exhausted all options of factory reset, reinstalling Withings apps, confirming notification on, etc. etc.

    Same issue on SW2, still waiting for a solution. Support was unhelpful, told me to i.e. factory reset my watch. It looks like apart from the notification issues, they also have communication issues between support and tech teams...

    I would like them to release a revised program as soon as possible, or to allow me to revert to the previous version and receive a notification.

    Same here …. Wasted a lot of time to do factory reset, reinstall app etc. As the problem seems to be a known issue, why is there no communication to customers about it? Yes, ok, you work on it - that’s all fine - but don’t let users waste time in trying to find fix an issue that is known !?

    Sorry, but without notification are ScanWatch 2 absolutely useless.

    It's more then 10 days since the faulty firmware came out!
    How long would it take to downgrade to the previous version and apologize to all users?

    10 - 15 minutes?

    Shame on you Withings!
