    Thanks for your post. I'm sorry to hear about the discrepancy in your body composition measurement you got from your Body Scan compared to Dexa Scan and the scale from your gym. I appreciate the details you shared. Like other scales, Body Scan measures body fat through impedance. While body fat measurements taken through impedance are accurate, they may not be as accurate as the fat mass measurements taken with medical equipment such as a DEXA Scan or Hydrostatic Weighing. As such, you may see variations between measurements. These measurements are, however, very useful for monitoring trends over time. 

     

     

    I recommend turning on the Athlete mode for your scale to check the difference. Our development team is always working to improve our scale's algorithm in tracking the body composition in future firmware updates. You may also visit our Help Center article here.
