I'm having exactly the same problem.
After the latest firmware upgrade on my scanwatch, there are large gaps of sleep data. Either it stops recording the data shortly after I fall asleep or it starts recording the data shortly before I wake up in the morning. In total it records about 2-3 hours of sleep every night, which is clearly wrong.
I have contacted the assistance, they suggested a factory reset of the watch. It worked only for the first night of sleep, but then the problem reoccurred again last night, with the watch recording only 2 hours of my sleep (I'm 100% positive I slept about 8 hours, I didn't wake up during the night, I'm wearing the watch correctly and it's tight on my wrist, etc.).

I'm also having the same problem, 3 days of Only 30 to 45 minutes sleep recorded....
I've just done a factory reset, but it's still on the new firmware....

Can withings please let us know how to roll back the firmware as your update has destroyed one of the watches main features and as far as I can see, you haven't even acknowledged the issue

I’m also having the same problem. Almost every day there is now either a gap in the middle of my sleep data, or there are several hours missing at the start or end. This has never been a problem for me before, having owned the watch for over 2 years. It only started in February immediately after I had updated to the latest firmware.

I have the same problem described by the other users.
A period of 2-3 hours is not recordered - the diagram shows a big gap without any classification.
Previously I also looked for updates and installed them.
Furtheron I cleaned the watch and fixed the silicone wristband.
Under consideration of the others comments it seems to be a problem of software updates.

2 weeks have passed, I have provided plenty of screenshots with my very inaccurate (or completely missing) sleep data to the customer's support, I have followed their instructions to synch the watch before going to sleep, leave the app open during the night and re-synch the watch in the morning, but still not working.
This all started since the latest firmware upgrade. I have never had a problem with my scan watch horizon since early 2022.
At the moment still no solution has been provided. This is very annoying.

Hi!
My watch records mostly nothing at all, and i have a new menu "sleep data" in the watch since last update.
If not fixed ASAP i will throw the watch in the trash and bye something else to track sleep.
