I wonder if ANY of us have had one long enough for any meaningful answer to this?  I've had mine since early October, and it's still doing fine.  I use the ECG function intermittently, when I feel the need (I have paroxysmal AF).  The step tracker is much less sensitive than the Fitbit I used to wear (and still do when doing physical work with heavy tools etc.) but it is good when I go walking, cycling etc..

I recently had the low battery warning so took it to the watch repairer. After the battery change it doesn't work at all even with the old battery in.

The watched was bought around Jan 2020. Coming Feb 2020 I replaced the battery. I replaced the battery on Feb 17 2020. Then I replaced it again on Feb 26 2020. Today is March 2 and I get a warning that the battery is low. May I know the cause of this?

OK, so I've successfully replaced the battery in my Move ECG, approximately 5-1/2 months after I received it as a birthday present.  Maybe they don't last anywhere near a year, but then I do mistreat mine in that the Bluetooth on my phone is sometimes turned off, or the phone is nowhere near me, and the watch must have to crank up the BT power and search for a connection?  Also, I've used the ECG function quite a few times, not always when it was needed.  And I've got a daily alarm set to remind me to take my evening pills, and the vibration must eat the battery somewhat, especially as I don't always feel it and cancel it with the button.

I couldn't easily source the recommended brands of battery here in the UK, so I stuck with a brand leader and fitted a Duracell 2430 Lithium coin cell, bought from an Amazon marketplace seller.  The watch worked again immediately.  I do happen to own the proper press for reinstalling the back plate on watches, as I've always replaced my own batteries, which is cheaper and more reliable than finding some service you can trust.

Agreed! Withing developer team should start something with this battery life. I got the low battery message after 4 month with normal using. Just couple of ECG (11 times), 1 alarm every weekdays and didn't start even exercise. So with this activity max 4 months battery life...
So please developer team do something with this issue!

My Move ECG activated Power Reserve Mode during the first 3 months of using it. After complaining at the support I've got a replacement from Withings. Now after less than 4 months it happened again with my replacement. Highly disappointed with the battery lifetime as it is advertised with up to 12 months.

Please note battery life ECG is top short!!! 1 Month and 1 heart check online and then slow battery. Bad product at all.

I'm three months in with my Move ECG. Yesterday I got a low battery warning on the app. If a genuine warning that's way lower than the USP in their adverts.

Does anyone have a link to the tool to use to replace the battery?

Ah ha! A simple blade screwdriver. And they advise you take it to a specialist watch repairer!?
