using the full feature of the watch could affect the battery, but I am also wondering why your watch is asking for a new battery. I suggest contacting their support here: https://within.gs/help.

I have same issue as kathie.I.borg.  Battery hasn't lasted more than 2 months.  What's the deal with that?  I thought it would last 18 months (I don't use it for an alarm...just steps).

I heard that the battery life of the Move watch is good for 18 months depending on the usage. If it is asking you to replace the battery, I think you should contact first their support team just like what the other guy mentioned so they can investigate.

Same thing happened to me. I bought the watch new, used it for like 4 months now and it already is in battery saver mode. Alarms and other activities that use the motor vibration won't be available and the battery will last like 3 months. So that's like a total of 7 months battery life?

Same problem here! I have been using the watch for about 5 months now (normal usage: clock / steps / sleep / occasional alarm and short work-out), and received a message this morning that the battery should be replaced.

Going from 18 months to 5 months is a bit of a stretch, isn't it? I've contacted support, and hope they'll have some news soon.

I bought my Move on March 20 and received around the March 26. On 1 May I could no longer sync my Move and received an alert that I need a new battery. Had a local Jewelry store put in a new batter on 2 May. The Jeweler said that the watch was no longer waterproof as they did not have the equipment to properly seal the watch to make it waterproof. The Jeweler also said that they have the same problem with their watches that sit in display cases for months waiting to be purchased. I imagine that battery is put in the Move when it is made and than continues to power the watch until it is sold and sent to the buyer.

I had my watch for a month and a half and the watch stopped working.  Assuming it was the battery, I contacted support.  After lots of troubleshooting, the company sent me a new battery, which I installed and watch still does not work.  Needless to say I have been dealing with support for over a month and a half, and I still can't get support to get it through their heads that the watch does not work, does not sync, does not vibrate, it does not work period.  I'm angry now, because every time support finally gets back with me they don't read my previous response to their responses and they are still wanting me to sync my watch and check to see if it vibrates!  MY WATCH DOES NOT WORK!!  I can't get support to understand that!  At this point, I want a total refund!!  I liked the watch when it worked (1 1/2 months ago) but now I'm angry and don't want anything to do with this company!
