I am using a chest strap too....and it would be very useful if it is possible to connect my watch or app to my chest strap. Hope to see this in the future.

I'm also using a chest HR monitor when on my WaterRower. Would be slick if it could integrate into the HealthMate app. Would also be helpful to Partner with the WaterRower app for total integration, considering the only Activity option for Rowing is actual rowing, not indoor stationary rowing.

Fully agree. Watch is far too unreliable especially at peak HR. COME ON WITHINGS! please provide polar integration or develop your own strap (i don't care). The main selling point of the HR is "Heart Rate" and it simply doesn't work

I agree with others. Any plans for that?

This is the only reason I haven't moved out of the POLAR ecosystem. I have a minor heart condition that requires somewhat accurate heartrate monitoring. The problem is my blood pools in my legs and I get poor circulation in my arms when this occurs. Not sure why a drop in blood pressure affects the rate when read on my wrist but I have confirmed this using multiple wrist-based monitors against a chest strap and a medical professional checking my pulse. Meaning, for the exact purpose I need to monitor my heart rate, wrist-based monitors actually show wildly inaccurate low results.

Bottom line, if Withings figured out how to connect to a reliable chest strap I'd fully buy into the Withings ecosystem.

I purchased the Withings watch just after suffering a heart attack, in hopes that it would accurately show me my heart rate when at rest and exercising.  Unfortunately, it isn't always accurate.  I now purchased a Polar H9 chest strap heart monitor and would love to synch the two together.  Grateful if Withings could provide this as an additional option.

I agree. I have polar strap and it should be excellent if it can communicate with your environment.

I run regularly and have found the Withings scan watch HR monitor to be inadaquate. I am clearly not alone. A chest HR monitor is the obvious solution. Are there any plans for this or a separate device compatible with Health Mate? GLS

I'd really like this feature too. My scanwatch can't keep up during my training.

Unfortunately, my experience is that nobody even reviews our comments. I have submitted a complaint at the beginning of the year and since then I have been receiving once a month an automatic email that nothing has changed but it will be considered. It's a pitty as the watch is a great compromise for very sporty and business people at the same time. Would be great to have real customer support and to see that customer voice matters.

I'm suspicious that Nokia is trying to kill off the brand - its a real shame because the watch twined with the other gadgets is fantastic but the heat monitor isn't even closely adequate for anyone who takes there fitness even half seriously. It's a good looking watch when compared to the smart competition but it's a typical case of form ahead of function. The abject ignorance of this thread by the manufacturer and owner regrettably shows they neither care for the brand nor its loyal customers
