Just got confirmation from Withings support that the "measurement range" for the BPM Connect is 40 - 180 bpm. Those with resting heart rates below 40 are out of luck.

I have the same problem. My resting heart rate is around 33, so I have to walk around to get a reading, which would give the wrong result. Which they could fix this with a firmware upgrade...

I also contacted the Withings support to clarify this as we keep on receiving an error while taking a measurement. They also informed us about the measurement range for the BPM Connect.

Omron devices are also limited to 40. I got the following response from their support:

"Unfortunately 40 is the limit of what the device can read, this goes for all of our Blood pressure monitors, this cannot be changed or adjusted."

even though my old M500 can go below 40. Newer devices (such as my new X7) display E5 Error which in manual says clothing interference so it took me a while to figure out that it was actually due to low pulse.

This limitation was the reason why I wanted to try BPM Connect until I found this topic. It might be that the companies are not allowed to offer 'override' switch that would allow the ranges beyond what the companies got a certification for.

Plus 1 more for a fix to allow readings with HR of less than 40

My actual measurement falls well within the 40-180 range, but I'm still getting this message, anyone else have this problem? The numbers are very inconsistent with my doctor's numbers as well as an old fashioned manual count.

Me as well. Why was this not made clear before I purchased it!

I am having to do a little exercise before I take a reading. to get the rate to 40 or above.

Plus yet one more to allow readings with a HR under 40! Personally, even at peak training I was never under 30 bpm, so for me, lowering the limit to 30 would be totally fine. But even something like 35 would be better than nothing - there will be some sort of bell curve, so lowering a few points will help a significant fraction of people.

Same here, my resting heart rate is usually in the low 40's, and sometimes high 30's.  The first day my HR was 45, the second it was 41, and the third day using this Blood Pressure monitor and I got the 205 error code, so I don't even get to know what my blood pressure is, just because my HR was below 40.    I share the frustration with you all, and hope that Withings can make it work for us

Same problem here.  I have a result pulse in the 30s.  I just need to record it so I can show the cardiologist.  There should be some way of pressing the power button when the error shows up and have it send the results to the app.
