Hi there,
I'm a little confused by the integration between Health Mate and MyFitnessPal. The apps seem to show different figures for the initial daily Calories, or 'budget', even if the same weight goals are set in each app. Also, they calculate completely different values for the calories offset by activity. As an example, my daily figures from today were as follows;
Health Mate
- Initial = 1679
- Activity = 479
- Consumed = 1774
- Remaining = 384
MyFitnessPal
- Initial = 1960
- Activity = 894
- Consumed = 1775
- Remaining = 1079
If they use different algorithms to work out the calories allowance, that's okay I guess, but I'm a little in the dark about which to follow! On the one hand, I certainly don't think I could/should eat another 1k calories today, but on the other, an initial budget of 1.7k for a 13 stone man seems... low. The only consistency seems to be the MFP -> HM value of consumed calories, which seems to be consistently out by 1, so presumably just a rounding error.
Any guidance greatly appreciated!
