    lol. I up-voted this message this morning ... Half and hour later, after a cup of coffee, I discovered I hadn't taken the rubber cap off the end of the Thermo before trying to get a reading. This is highly recommended. Upon removing it I got a reading on the first try.

    Are you sure you have the little rubber cap off? As I said in the post above, that resolved it for me.

    :) Definitely no rubber cap on. I've tried several times today and same thing every time. I have contacted Withings about it.

    This has now been resolved by the Withings Helpdesk.

    Press and hold the button for 10 secs

    When in Setup mode, update the device.

    That managed to sort the issue out for me.
