    Hello Withings users,

We have recently released an update (4.9.3) that should resolve the issue with Health Mate crashing, please update the app and let us know if you are still experiencing this issue.

Our sincere apologies for the added inconvenience that this has been for everyone.

It crashed on my iPod too, until I went into the Apple Health app and turned off "Allow 'Health Mate' to write data" for "Sleep Analysis"

The Health Mate app has also stopped syncing step data with Apple Health: syncs other devices' data though.

Exactly the same issue as Laurent since this morning. iPhone X and latest version of the app.

App will crash 2-3 seconds after opening while it is loading/downloading data. Going offline fixes it and allows me to use the app no problem (except I can't fetch new data...). Disconnecting Apple Health doesn't seem to fix the issue.

My app updated last night on my iPhone and now successfully crashes every single time as it starts to sync with my watch , I did an update on my phone just in case that was the problem but still crashes. Hopefully someone from withings is looking at this forum to see how successful there work has been on their update work

My health Mate App seems to be updating steps ok but it stopped passing these across to the Apple Health App on 7 April which it is linked to . Looks like we need another update

Just a note to say same experience.

clarryuk above is correct, seems my profile with lots of data crashes the app, whereas a dummy account works ok.

also I’m on iOS and recently selected sync with Apple health, don’t know if that’s related.

I think that something has happened to:

    a) Apple Healthkit API - display of data in Apple Heath is wrong / data source details are wrong

    b) The way that Health Mate talks to this API - if your data on your Nokia / Withings account is correct but the data in Healthkit is wrong then it will crash.

    c) Some third party apps (Lose it!) that requests the weight data direct from the online Nokia / Withings API shows the correct verified result BUT anything requested from Apple Heathkit is wrong.

FIX: Thus, this indicates somthing that Apple has done to tweak their API which Nokia / Withings needs to respond to with Health Mate - this should fix the crash.

Overnight (7/8) there has been a further update on the app, which I have downloaded and still have the same problems. The app loads for a few seconds then crashes

Exactly the same problems that I am encountering. The app still works on my iPad but the app has not been updated but all it does is allow the data to upload. I can't comment on the GPS at the moment since I am in self isolation. Clearly Withings need to update the app to rectify the issue

New update. App no longer crashes but can’t verify GPS or other problems because I am self isolating

Patch 4.9.3 (14 April 2020) fixed mine! It stopped crashing and I've got all my data in Apple Health too.

Android 10, app 4.9.1 closes as soon as tapped to open. Unsure if related to recent app update or addition of bpm connect.

Android 10, app version 4.9.1, stopped connecting. After password change, typing in username and password, fails.

Reinstall app, and stops at the screen "Thank you for joining Health Mate.  Your app will be reading in a minute..."  .  Occasionally I get a message something like "Opps connectivity failed please try again later".  Not clear where connectivity is failing - everything in my end looks fine, and have tried multiple times in the last 24 hours.

I can log onto the website portal with no trouble.

I linked this to FollowMyHealth through my provider (which is when I changed the password).  Related?

    Hello,

I have a Nokia Body (Withings) scale, model number WBS06 which has been connected to our Wifi and working fine since I bought it in Sept 2018.

However, I changed the batteries last month and since then, it hasn't been syncing with the Wifi, and therefore hasn't been updating my weight data in my account.

I have tried everything, however, the Withings health Mate app does not work - it crashes every time I open it.

I have tried deleting it and reinstalling it, upon which it allows me to log in, and then starts to download my data and crashes.

Opening the app again just immediately crashes it.

PLEASE NOTE THAT I HAVE TRIED THIS ON 3 DIFFERENT IPHONES AND AN IPAD, ALL WITH THE SAME (CRASHING) RESULT, SO IT IS THE APP WHICH IS AT FAULT, NOT MY DEVICE.

Now, having reset the scale by pressing the small button on the back, it will not function at all, and just shows the Withings website at which to download the app, and it needs the app to re-do the setup, however, as I have said, the app doesn't work on any iOS device. (Latest version of iOS on all, latest release of Health Mate).

Please don't tell me it's a problem with my phone, as, like I have said, the app crashes and fails to work on 3 different iPhones AND an iPad.

Is there another app I can use to set up this scale, or any other way I can restore functionality of it?

    Thanks

I have exactly the same issue as @clarryuk - my app was working fine yesterday, but today whenever I try to open it it immediately crashes. I have deleted and reinstalled to no avail. The same on my partners iPhone - when you try to open the app it crashes. When you reinstall, you get all the way through to the point of it downloading and syncing your data, it hangs at about 65% downloaded and then crashes. Any ideas??

Well, I've realised that it's my profile it doesn't like, as when I log in to the app, it says it's refreshing its data for my account, which gets to about 97% and then the app crashes.

It will not open again unless I delete the app and reinstall it every time.

What I did was to, on the website, create another 'family member' and put some very low weight in for that one (so the scales don't confuse it with the real me), and then, on the app, when I log in and it asks which profile I am, I select the dummy one, which does load up ok (as there's no data in there), and once in, I can go to the Dashboard and click on my own profile to view the graphs and data in that one.

Exactly the same thing happens with my partner too, who has also had to set up a fake 'extra' profile in the same way.

That seems to be a workaround.

Re-pairing the scales was a nightmare though, after I disassociated them yesterday.  Took many many attempts and in the end, only changing the batteries would let it see my Wifi network, and all seems to be ok now.

Only problem that remains is that I can't open the app for my profile - I have to open it for the dummy one and view my profile within that, as described above.

Which is “ok” for a workaround but not a solution. Thanks for the tip though.
