Hi All,
I am running a Samsung Note 9, Android 10.0 with fresh install.
Upon trying to login with Health Mate I am prompted to select a profile, the app the lands on the "your app will be ready in a minute", however after several minutes it will briefly display a "connectivity issue" popup and restart the process.
Eventually after multiple attempts and significant time the app will login - however will then spontaneously log out again.
Once logged in I cannot install my Steel HR Sport Watch
I also own the Scales, Thermo and BP Connect - these seem to work correctly.
Withings how do I have this resolved? I have previously raised a ticket...

Hi,
If you currently receive a connectivity issue when trying to log into your Health Mate account on an Android phone, please download Health Mate 5.6. We have released this new version today. Once you have it available on Play Store and downloaded, your issue should be fixed.
Have a nice day,
Armelle, Withings Customer Service

Hi! No response. I submitted a request via normal channels, but this has proven to be a painful experience based on a previous issue. They reply with a single line query overnight so it takes like 24 hours to answer a single question. I did get a response back on FB Messenger redirecting me to the forum.
Someone on Reddit advised to uninstall the app and reinstall an older version (via apkgold) but this didn't work for me either.
Incidentally, if I create a new account using my secondary email I can install the device and use the watch as normal. Unfortunately, you dont have access to your historical data.
I'll post again if I get any update.

Issue was said to be given to development team, nothing happend. In the meantime (since I couldn't use the product) I bought a device from competition. Works like charm!
Just to update this one: I found the watch out of battery in my drawer and out of curiousity I tried to log-in into the Health Mate App. At first it seemed to be the same error. Progress bar stalls at around 90'%. And stayed there for more than 5 minutes.
I put my phone away and ~30 mins later I rechecked the app. To my suprise I was logged in.
Too bad... and too late. All I will do is export all my data and afterwards delete my account. But maybe the trick with just being patient for quite a while (wait up to an hour, I would say) helps the one or the other.

Year later and this is still a problem which makes it difficult to switch to Android as I really prefer my Withings watch over competitors but at this point will have to leave my iPhone plugged in at home *just* to sync my watch to MyFitnessPal to pull into my Android phone. *sigh what a mess
