Coming from a Garmin watch, Steel HR Sport seems to lack so many features.
1. At the end of the day, there is 500+ steps difference between what shows on the watch vs. no. of steps in the healthmate app (The app is always higher).
2. Indoor walking distance is pathetically wrong (0.18 mile detected) per mile. Walking portion works good outside and also fails to work when walking on a treadmill. Garmin had no issues with it.
3. Notification is very limited, it works for messages and nothing else. ( I am OK with it)
4. can barely feel the vibration notification.5. Display to come on with wrist turn like every other smartwatch.
Bought the Steel HR sport for the looks, feature set leaves a lot to be desired. Response in the forum seems sporadic to non-existent. -
Hello,
I bought my Steel HR Sport two weeks ago, and i already do not get any more messages (no vibration, no message).
Is there a way to:
- enable (text/apps) messages back?
-change the strength / sequence /pattern of the vibration, as it does not even wake me up ?
-enable a function to tell me when it loses bluetooth contact with my iPhone, telling me when i leave a place that i left my smartphone behind me!
Note: I've been working for Apple for 28 years, but never wanted the Apple Watch because of... its very limited battery runtime. I'm now happy with the Steel HR, as the battery runtime is what I wanted..
Rgds

Please add a vibration when you turn on notifications, so you know you switched them on.
Sometimes, I get confused when the display says "Notifications ON/OFF", since I'm not sure if it's displaying the state it is in now, or the state I want to change it to. Making it vibrate when you turn notifications on gives me a confirmation that it is now turned on.

Also coming from a Garmin watch, I'd like to see more around these areas:
1. Notifications:
1.a History: I want to be able to read all notifications when I can, not as they pop up. If I don't pay attention the minute they arrive, it's as if I never got them at all
1. b Custom speed: ability to set the desired display speed for notifications from the app
1.c Schedule times for all notifications off, or at least detect sleep and automatically switch off
2. Features: floors climbed, stress level, wrist turn on
I'm guessing NFC for payments and being able to also respond to texts is already way too much to ask for the Steel HR.

I love my watch, it is 100% the best looking one out there, however, I have mainly two issues that makes me concider getting another one instead. 1. The vibrations does not wake me up, it should vibrate until I turnbit off. And also it would be great to be able to set the strength of the vibration.
2. The sleep tracker honestly sucks, it does not track accurate at all. I have nights where Ive been totally awake for two hours and it just tracks both light and deep sleep. Also when I lay down on the sofa on the evening to watch a movie. It thinks I am sleeping. 🤷🏽♀️

VIBRATION : Plus forte !

VIBRATION: Stronger! More powerful ! and it does not matter for the autonomy of the watch which is already excellent.
ALARM: It should not stop until the user has pressed the button. It is impossible to wake up with the current alarm. The vibration power is ridiculous and stops in 15 seconds.
STOPWATCH: You need a stopwatch function, without having to start an activity. Simply a stopwatch.
NOTIFICATIONS: Notifications that work, it's urgent. They work once in 15.

So, I’ve had my Withing Steel HR Sport for about a month. A couple things I’ve noticed. I like the sleep tracking but it seems to have a hard time of telling when I’ve started and stopped sleeping. My iPhone has a better measure on the start and stop. I wonder if there is a way to merge the respective data, rather than either or.
Also recently noticed when I went to my watch device in the HealthMate App and into screen customization I noticed two options, one for stopwatch and the other for timer. But when I select both only the stopwatch is actually available on my watch. Has this feature not been activated yet? Why is it listed if you can’t use it?Having an interval timer for switching between tasks or activities would be very useful.

I see that the stopwatch function made it my Steel HR sport the watch but I also see a timer function which does show up in the screen customizing but not on the watch. Also: the stopwatch does not pause when pressing button once but just goes to next screen.
Had the watch for couple of months now and what I would love is the screen to be off during a workout and to turn on again with a press of the button. I'm sure this will also be better on the battery and you don't need to see the stats all the time. At least I don't.
One last thing to add: when I receive a WhatsApp video call the watch will continue to vibrate even when the call is answered. Seems like a simple software fix. Thanks people at Withings, you made a great watch!
