Any answer to this yet - I have the same question.

dann, Apparently not.  I just recently bought the BPM Connect.  I had the older model of Withings BPM die on me.  I had wanted to buy the BPM Core, but I waited forever and it still is not for sale in the US.  My wife and I frequently goof with the BPM connect readings because of the "tricky" button thing.  I still cannot find any place in Healthmate to reassign readings.  You would think that someone from Withings might actually read this forum and respond.

I've got a support inquiry to them. If I get a response I will post it here. Thank you for getting back to me.

Here is what I got back from Withings: Basically, it has to be assigned to the user on the BPM Connect.

    Hello Dann,

Thank you for reaching out to us. I am really sorry to hear that you do not see a to reassign a reading from the BPM Connect to another user. I can certainly look into this for you.

In this case, please know that after taking a measurement the BPM Connect's display will show the name of the user to which the last measurement was assigned; this is typically the last user of the monitor. By pressing and holding the button, you can cycle through the list of users to find your name. Repeat the process of pressing and holding the button until you find your name and then press the monitor's button once to assign the measurement

Several seconds after taking a measurement, if you do not select a user, the monitor will automatically assign the measurement to the last user (the one shown on its display after taking a measurement). This can explain why measurements are being assigned to the wrong user.

dann,  Thank you for copying me on their response.  It amazes me that customer support groups in companies like Withings are trained to respond by providing a political answer in which they do not really address the original question.

You would think that if I had identified how you can reassign a weight measurement if you accidentally assign a weight to the wrong user by leaning the wrong way on the scale, that would be the basis for wanting to reassign a blood pressure measurement.

I cannot believe that their software developers do not recognize that it is easy to miss-press the single button on the BPM Connect and therefore, the ability to reassign a measurement in the Healthmate app would be a core capability.

In terms of software design, if you can reassign weight but not blood pressure, then the app does not have design symmetry.  Who reviews this software before release?  Do they ever conduct beta tests on functionality?  Wow, once again I am floored by lack-luster functionality in a product simply because of the lack of proper software management and apparently no interest in following up to fix an obvious gap in functionality.

dann, the only way that customers like us can get any momentum in correcting this type of behaviour by companies in their product development and support is to publicly post and explain as I have.  Perhaps social media can have a positive effect.

I found (no help from BPM Microsystems) that, in the timeline of the app, you can hold down your finger (long press) on the erroneous reading, then slide to the left, and you can delete the reading. Appearantly no way to re-assign the reading.
    Hope this helps!

Agreed, this should be fixed! Also, as of today I am no longer able to find the names of the other users on the BPM Connect. All I get is the GUEST name, no others. It seems some people are having similar issues with the Thermo device today.

I have the exact same problem with BPM Core.

After the Measurements are done, I have to select the right user by sliding my finger cross the cylinder-shaped interface a number of times - some times it works, often it does not.

It would be nice to be bale to re-assign the measurement - or at least choose the user before doing the measurement.

I don’t think withings replies are political. They have standard templates and they talk all the crap but not the answer to the question. May be they think everyone else is uneducated. And they just copy paste from the manual.

Any response to get this finally fixed (you can do the same for weight measurement but not for BP measurement, not so logical). What is the schedule for the fix?

Please add the ability to reassign BPM measurements to a different profile!

If BPM Connect can’t identify the user automatically like the scales can, please add functionality to reassign readings quickly and easily. My wife nearly had a heart attack when she saw my readings attached to her ID. It can’t be that difficult to code, and that it has taken more than a year since the first comment on this for you to do nothing about makes you look uncaring and incompetent.

I had the same question and found a way to delete the incorrect assignment.  Log on your computer to your account and you can delete the reading and just take another reading.  After the reading hold down the button till your name shows and thus the assignment will be applied to the correct user.

wendyruffner - What you describe is deleting a reading and creating a new one... this topic is about assigning a current reading to a different person...

I posted this way back when. Withings support flat out doesn't understand why reassigning a measurement is important. I point to the fact that the scales let you do that and their answer is that a scale and a blood pressure monitor are different. Apparently my problem was that I was trying to weigh myself with my blood pressure monitor all along. Problem solved.

Bump. We have a team of support workers who take both my elderly parents blood pressure and heart rate every day. The press-and-hold functionality for cycling through users is error-prone especially with different and frequently alternating support workers. We need the ability to re-assign a blood pressure and heart rate reading to another user after the measurement has already been completed.

How can this still be an issue? It's a fairly simple request and a really simple piece of functionality to implement.

    I have the same problem.

And yes these support groups never say We are sorry. The software do not have that functionality. But if you do like this…….
We are adding this function as a request to the developer.

If you always blame the user the user will stop using the software.

Yep -- great platform, and hardware, but this is a feature that needs to be added.

Sure seems obvious they should make it a priority to fix this.   If you download your data to your general-practitioner medical doctor periodically, as I do, you want it all to be YOUR data, not mixed with your spouses' data.   Besides which, as someone said earlier here, there ought to be symmetry in how the different devices' data within the entire Withings group is stored and edited (and downloaded to doctors if desired).  Blaming the user does not boost reputations or sales!

I accidentally let my Withings BP monitor assign my BP reading to my husband. It is very inconvenient that I could not reassign it. I could only delete it and retake my BP and be careful on the user assignment. How hard can it be to add user reassignment functionality when they already have it for the scales?

Is Withings even reading this board?  This simple request has been out there for two years and is clearly needed.  It is a simple software fix in the health mate app and should be prioritized.  Likely the same code can be reused from the scale section of the app. Withings please advise the plan to address this or not address this in a future software release.  Thank you.

Withing’s can you simply answer if this is on the roadmap so we know whether to be miserable users for a long time?

I, too, think that reading reassignments would be easy to add to at least the web interface and am at a loss as to why such has not been accomplished after two (2) years.

I just bought this device from Amazon.  I will reduce my ratings and comment accordingly.

Hopefully, somebody at Withings will recognize that lowered ratings due to easy-to-fix software issues such as this one COST THEM LOST SALES.
