I received the Withings email advising about turning on sleep apnea detection yesterday on my Sleep device. This is I did and this morning I woke up to find a moderate (24) sleep apnea score notification on my iphone. This came as a surprise as I sleep well and so I checked the in app advice. In doing so it pointed me to the Epworth and STOP Bang tests which I carried out. The STOP Bang reported me as low risk based on my factors, but despite answering 'No chance of dozing or falling asleep' to every question in the Epworth test, the result came up as 'You seem abnormally drowsy; you should consult your doctor".
I then carried on with my day, and then when I checked the app again, my sleep apnea score has now increased to severe (30) despite me no longer even being in bed.
Based on the strange result of the Epworth test, and the increase in sleep apnea score without even being in bed, I find myself questioning the validity of the reported data. I was wondering about the experiences of others with this function before worrying my doctor about a condition which until now I had no inclination that I have...?
