    I've just tested it myself. I'm 180cm tall and my step length is 46.8cm? I measured correctly...

    Steel HR Sport says: 19.518 steps = 16.9km ~step length: 1.15m

    Scanwatch: 19.675 steps = 15.3km
    ~step length 1.29m
    For the same day Google says I've walked 13.36km that would be a step length of 1.47m

    ?????????

    I don't know how you've got more kilometers to steps. It's always the other way in my app no matter how many steps.

    2257steps = 1.8km
    14898 = 12.4
    14202 = 11.2
    6796 = 5.5
    And so on

    Thanks for the comment Tristan. At least I know now that not all Withings' are wrong! Your step length seems to be about 0.8m by my calculation of the figures that you give. That's about right for a fairly young person. I have another app on my phone that gives a step length of 0.71m - so I believe that is about right. I also measured the distance that I walk with 10 steps and that gives my step length as 0.71m as well. Why is the Steel HR so different?

    Would be nice if you could enter your step length

    Would also be nice if there were info about what they use in the absence of a value that is user-entered!
