Please allow us to disable the health mate and the notifications around goals.

I just want facts and nothing more.

    "(...)negative or shaming them" ?

First of all, you have to enter the program (at least for me) and you can just leave it, too.

Second, the health coach is not offensive of all (of course). It just lists facts.

I want to remove that widget, but the "unsubscribe from insights" button is disabled. The one above it, "hide this insight" works though. So every day I have to hide it.

Same with me laurahenze. Why offer the option to unsubscribe from Insights if the button doesn’t work? So irritating and annoying. Please fix the button so we can UNSUBSCRIBE FROM INSIGHTS. You want an insight? Let me unsubscribe from Insights!!

As I said. You can just leave the program...

Your programs-->Health Insights-->3Dots on the top right corner-->Leave

Just saw these responses and scrolled down a bit in the timeline and found the ability to leave the program, thanks! I figured that would be under Settings or something more logical.

I did not enter the program, it just stuck me into it after the latest update.

I don't feel shamed by it, but I have heard stories of people who have felt similar sentiments from other software. If anyone remembers Wii Fit, some people were upset that it would comment on them not playing the game for a while, or even the fact that it just labeled them as overweight or obese based on their BMI. Some people just react to things differently, and if they seemingly started getting advice without consciously joining the program, they could take it the wrong way.

Thanks for the tip on disabling by scrolling down in timeline. I can't stand it when apps abuse their permission to use push notifications. I was receiving daily push notifs about this useless program and was close to uninstalling the entire app.

Same. The Unsubscribe from Insights option doesn’t work. If I click on the X it spins for 1/4 second and nothing happens. There is a > to the right that doesn’t work either.

I was able to unsubscribe from that widget by following tristans advice. You need to scroll down in the feed and you will see “Your programs” . Choose Health Insights. Look for three dots in corner. Choose Leave. And it works! Something like this should be in settings because not everyone scrolls down that far on their feed. Hope that helps.

Push notifications? What push notifications? Do you mean the cream bubble on the main screen? I've never got any notifications from health mate on my phone?🤔
