    They never answered the question. The battery drain is caused by a bad firmware update, but they won't fix it. There are several other threads about this same issue, but Withings just marks it 'answered' and tells users to buy a new scale. See if they tell you the same.

    In another thread someone reported that customer service told them to do a factory reset but had the wrong instructions. I followed the instructions here ( ) and it solved the battery drain issue. I had to try several times for the two button press to start factory reset. Not sure why they didn’t address these threads going on a year.
