Saw the Sleep Analyzer supported Apple Health (or so it said on the box) so picked one up. I enabled the relevant permissions in the Apple Health app to allow Health Mate to write sleep and heart rate data (in fact, I just gave it all permissions for ease). After using it for a couple of days I noticed the data is syncing, but is massively incomplete.
First of all, sleep data. It uploads to Apple Health the 'time in bed', but doesn't actually upload 'time asleep'. I get it, the apple health only has those metrics, so I'm not expecting further detail like REM, or light sleep stages. But at the very least, Apple Health supports 'time in bed' and 'time asleep', so I don't get why you're missing the most basic and important metric.
Secondly, heart rate. It uploads nothing. It does record the heart rate really well as seen in the Health Mate app, but it decides not to share it with Apple Health despite the permission being there? It would be nice to have a complete picture of my heart rate, 24/7. Again, basic feature provided with the Apple Watch is used in bed, but not with this device.
This was bought to enhance metric capture, I was using my Apple Watch sleep function; which while 'basic', seems to at least record more useful data in the Apple Health system. Considering this device is sold with 'Support for Apple Health' on the box, is it not extremely misleading that the only single metric it shares is just 'Time in bed', not even the most basic time asleep metric...
Not sure if this is a bug or what, but I can see posts about this issue going back six months ago; that's far too long for the bug not to be fixed. Is this on the road map or a known issue right now? Using Health Mate 5.3.2.
