Then they are dumb teachers. There are many graphs and all have different functions so give me an example and I tell you what it is. Every graph has different functions so no answer will fit all but I'll help you with it

Open the weight chart in the android app...at closer inspection you will see it is not a moving average...so, what is it?

Open the weight chart on the website - it seems to be a moving average, but over what period?

Agree: a "D" for any homework handed in at aschool for lack of legend.

It has nothing to do with the reaader / teacher being dumb but with the reader / teacher not being supposed to guess a chart.

I have an emailed response on the trend graph for weight measurements in the Android App to share (may also apply ot other app versions):

"While we are unable to divulge what our exact algorithm is for the Weight Trend on our app, I can say that this number does not represent a strict weight progression, but rather your average weight loss between measurements. It’s based on the average of your different weights added during the week. You can use it as a reference for your main weight graph, as it shows your average evolution, instead of showing your exact measures.

I know that it can be quite confusing since there is no precise explanation of this number in the app. That is why I wanted you to know that our developers are working on improving the clarity of the weight widget in the Timeline in general."

What the use of a graph with a secret meaning is, that remains Withing's secret too...let's hope for the promised improved clarity.
