Hi Armille - it's good that there is a new version, but you only mention new features in the Release notes. However most forum members are more interested in what bug fixes it also contains (we hope). I couldn't find any info about them - can you provide a list of the main bugs fixed. We don't want to recheck them if they haven't been fixed. Thanks

    Hi Armelle,

Since the update to 5.5, when I finish an activity:

    1. when I click the notification ("congratulations on your sport session"...) I am not led back to the app, but I need to open it manually.

    2. the app continues to use the GPS of the device (which is battery consuming). In order to stop GPS access, I must go to App permissions --> Location and change from "Allow all the time" to "Allow only when using the app", and then enable "Allow all the time" again.

Using Samsung Galaxy S9 plus with Android 10.

    Thanks

In the last update you promised to import sleep data from my Apple watch. I updated Health Mate to 5.5 but no sleep data in it. Other apps like Google Fit see my sleep data.
I tried to reinstall the Health Mate, to reactivate health sync - nothing helped. All permissions are granted. What can I do to resolve the issue?

The data from the Sleep is no longer synchronized from the server to the app (iOS). It's visible online, so the data is available. It seems more people are dealing with this issue.

Hi, Unsure if this is related or not, however I've just noticed that my Withings ISO App is no longer updating the withings web dashboard or Apple Health with my activities, it seems to of stop updating on the 9th of May around the time Health Mate 5.5 was released. I've logged a ticket with support to investigate, but I had the feeling it was a known issue. - hope this helps others :)

HM 5.5.0 under Android destroys the SpO2 measurements. The nightly measuremen is no longer displayed under Aspleep although under Awake.

Also when you select previous day's the measurements on the screen are correctly displayed for 1-2 seconds and then changes that only one SpO2 measurement is displayed which is always under Awake (even if you on this day only measurement from the night)

If I look on my iPhone (HM5.4) the SpO2 measurements are displayed correcctly.

    Can someone confirm this behavior?

    Hi,

    Thanks for all your comments.

Regarding the sleep data issue, please force quit the app and then open it again. Your data should now be synced again.

Please know that our development team is working on the SpO2 issue on Android as well as the data issue with the Web Dashboard. For now, we don’t have a release date for the fix, but we’re doing our best so you can get it as soon as possible.

    Thanks for your patience.

    Have a great day,

The most pressing bug fix for both me and my partner (I have a Scanwatch and he has a Steel Sport) is the mail notification problem. He gets NO mail notifications, despite following all the guidance both from support and from the forum. I get some but not all mail notifications. We're both considering whether we should return our watches and look elsewhere. It'd be a shame as they're otherwise lovely.

5.5.1 Android doesn't find/connect to my watch anymore. (Activite Pop). Downgraded to 5.5.0 and it works again.

Not only in the app no update of the sleep values takes place anymore but also in the web application no new sleep values appear since recently. Therefore a downgrade is not the solution.

New functions are good but breaking working functions is bad.

I'm having the same trouble with my Activite Pop after the release of 5.5.1 on Android. (Huawei P30 Pro)

I am curious how others have restored the 5.5.0 version and got it working.

The only place I have managed to get a 5.5.0 version was from the Huawei app store, but it still didn't work!

I have tried several devices with 5.5.2 released 2 days ago and still no joy.

Using a Bluetooth LE scanner app on my phone, I can see the watch and it appears in around a second, the app lets me connect to the watch as well, and it does this in a couple of seconds. I can't do anything with the data the scanner provides, but it proves that my phone and the watch are both capable of exchanging data.

I am now getting quite frustrated with the watch and Health Mate not working. I love the watch because it is not bulky and is waterproof, which is ideal as I do a lot of kayaking (which I have to record as rowing and is the subject of one of my longstanding feature requests). But the fact that it is very slow to connect, and even with all the battery/power optimisations set to keep the app running in the background, it never synced unless I opened the app and dragged down the homepage/timeline to force a refresh.

Unless I can get the watch working with Health Mate, I will have to consider another brand of watch which is a shame.

Not a very happy, faithful customer

    Darren

I am having the same problem - I've had the supposed 'fix' update but my dashboard is still not updating with info from my watch, even though it claims to have synced. I am beyond frustrated at the lack of customer support from Withings - this is not the first issue for which they have offered no solution.

    Hi,

Thanks for your posts. For Android users, you should be able to sync your watch with Health Mate with the new update 5.5.2.

If not, here are tips you can try:

    1) On the phone, deny the location permission for Health Mate. Then go back to the Health Mate app and click on the notification to enable location.

    2) If needed, log out then in again.

    3) If needed, uninstall Health Mate and install it again.

Regarding the automatic syncing in the background, this requires several conditions:

    1) You have taken more than 1,000 steps since the last sync, followed by one minute with less than 50 steps.

    2) More than 6 hours have passed since the last sync took place (excluding sleep).

    3) The daily objective for steps has been reached.

If your watch doesn’t automatically sync despite meeting these conditions, please ensure that:

    1) You have not disabled Bluetooth on your mobile device.

    2) You have not forced closed the Health Mate app.

    3) Your watch and your phone are close to one another (within a few feet) when the conditions for automatic syncing are met.

Please note that starting with Android 11, Google has changed the way that apps can use Bluetooth Low Energy for apps that are running in the background. To allow automatic syncing, you must select the 'Allow all the time' option for location services for the Health Mate app in order to allow background syncing. This can be done by going to the Settings of your phone and then selecting Apps > Health Mate > Permissions > Location > Always Allow.

If you need further help, don’t hesitate to email us by clicking here.

Good day to you and thank you for your activity on the forum,

    Hi Armelle
Something what is missing is a search
Function in the HM app.Instead of scrolling and trying to find activity or irregular periods. 🤔

Hi Armelle, I noticed if I select:
"Home", "See Timeline", weirdly, I see many times of Weight (BMI) or Weight (Fat Mass) and I didn't even step on the weighing scale?

I often have to manually delete the duplicates.

    Kindly advice
