My WS-50 Stopped Working

Ditto. Installed new batteries. also noted in dark room the back-light is dimly on.

Last time it happened, I cleaned the battery contacts as suggested and it worked for about a month, but then stopped again.

any resolution? mine stopped working today, new battery didn't help.

Ok I am seeing a trend for this scale just randomly stop working for no reason.  Mine has also just quit.  I don’t see any solutions or suggestions on how to fix the issue, if it’s even fixable.  Anyone else figure it out.

Definitely a pattern emerging - mine went MIA today. Planned obsolescence? 

Mine quit taking measurements today.  Unit is 3 years old.  The display shows a right side down arrow indicating I need to place weight on right bottom corner. Sensor failure?

Mine stopped working as well last week. Less than 3 years old...

i just figured mine out.  there was one of the battery contacts that was corroded.   I scraped it clean to the metal and it started working again.  I am guessing it was getting enough power to lightly flicker the screen but not enough for anything else.

same. two new sets of batteries, scale does not go on.

My unit went out too!  Same as the comments above.  I've tried everything except taking it apart.  I don't see any comments from Withings here.  Has anyone figured out why they suddenly stopped working?

mine is going crazy.  reported weight not stable, and varies by 100's of pounds.  changed batteries 3 times.  

My weight is reduced by half. :-o

After seven to eight (7-8) years it stopped working.

Same here, first batteries were running out in a few days, now it doesn´t power on regardless, I tried even different brands for batteries, it is a pity, it lasted over 8 years which is great but it seems to me the new firmware did what is expected, blown up the scale, I was thinking on buying anohter one, not any more after reading lot of people have same issue. First batteries, then all of a sudden it won´t display anything....
