    Given that this was the issue that dogged my FitBit Charge 3 i made sure to check the support article about Bluetooth, etc.

    If you're on Android then you may have to enable GPS (as well as Bluetooth) to get the tracker to sync. Never used an iPhone so you're on your own there. However the support pages detail a process to reset the watch then you have to do initial setup again.

    This worked on the Charge 3 too allegedly, but support on the FitBit forums advised people not to do this. Which is one of the many reasons why I switched to the Steel HR.
