Hi All,
I find the way sleep is handled too restrictive.
Today my Steel HR did not record any data for my night as it was less than 3 hours. But when I tried to edit it manually, the option is not available as one can only edit existing data but not add from scratch. Sad.
I'm also under the impression, but maybe wrong, that the smart alarm could not be triggered as the device was not in sleep mode. My guess is that the alarm would eventually have gone off at the latest time programmed, but I'd love to be sure of that.
Besides, I saw that there used to be a way to set a sleep goal, but that has been completely removed as if all human beings should behave the same way. Welcome to 1984 :-)
It would be more than useful to add a simple/expert dual mode and let the user decide. Also to take naps back into consideration.
For example, I'm following the polyphasic method known as Everyman-3. That is one core sleep of 3 hours (between 9pm and midnight in my case) plus 3 naps of 20min each throughout the rest of the day. My dream alarm would be to be able to program something like "wake me up 3 hours after I actually fell asleep" and also be able to start a nap on the device just like any other activity is started, long press, and select "start nap" And I could program in the app that the nap activity is 20mn and that the device should vibrate at the end.
In other words, sleep cannot be a "one size fits all" thing. And if all that seems too far fetched, how do I downgrade to the last app/firmware version that allowed to setup a sleep goal ?
Kind regards,
p@T
