I’m having similar problem, my hour hand on my watch is falling behind. 8:40 looks like 7:40? Can a regular watch repair show alter the hour hand to fix?

Synch the watch first so you dont lose data and then do a factory reset.

if the problem persists and you have a Withings Steel, you need a new battery!

on a Steel, the battery should last on average 6 months before needing replacement.

It would be really useful if everyone could say what device they have as this thread is for Steel AND Steel hr!!! Also, it would be helpful if you could say whether you are on Android or IOS.

The factory reset worked, thanks for recommendation! I didn’t realize the watch also has an internal battery, is that in addition to the battery we recharge every month? Or did I read your earlier post incorrectly? Thanks Mark!

@ peter lindenlaub  It was my error sorry! Ive just gone back to using a Withings Steel after using a Steel hr Sport for 6 months as part of a review program and got confused. The steel hr/hr sport ONLY has rechargable battery whereas the basic Steel ONLY has a replaceable battery.

Incidentally, if you would like some really cool things you can do with your watch, check this link https://ifttt.com/search/query/Withi out!

My Steel HR hour hand is stuck, I have reset it and calibrate it and it doesn’t move forward. One thing I noticed, when calibrating it, the hour hand refuses to move clockwise. Could the hand be broken. Thanks

Hugo, if you have gone through all the threads above and instructions contained including disconnecting watch from your mobile device etc.. and the watch might need a new battery. My watch is 4 or 5 years old and has never required it. Good luck!

I have a Steel HR, connected to an Android (Samsung Galaxy 8) device. When calibrating the watch to set the time, the spin-wheel and hour hand won't swing clockwise, only counter-clockwise - even after a full factory-reset, dissociate, re-pair. The hour hand then doesn't move (but everything else seems to work). Any other thoughts?
