How come you do not have a period tracker function in the app?

Dear Community,
Following the most recent messages on this thread, I would like to update our reply to this discussion. It is our goal, at Withings, to develop devices and apps that will accompany our customers in their health’s journey.
We are aware that allowing people who menstruate to track their cycle would help a lot of them better understand their health, and I assure you that your feedback is taken seriously into consideration by our development team. I am happy to forward it once more to them as I understand that this is, quite appropriately, a popular request.
Thank you for being so invested in the improvement of our products,
Armelle, Withings Customer Service

Here is new research on how the female menstrual cycle can affect athletic performance: https://www.miun.se/en/Research/research-centers/swsrc/news/2019-2/the-menstrual-cycle-and-female-athletic-performance/

Maybe nothing happened since this question was originally posted because there’s not enough people “liking” or commenting it? So here I am.
We need a period tracker.
We need an app that can work by its own, so we don’t have to download a shitload of other app to compensate this one! -
Dear Withings,
Maybe my female brain is confused, but I was amazed by the fact that I can't find a period tracker in your app. You offer smart watches, smart bands, scales, thermometers, and several other specialized devices. You have a pregnancy tracker and everything BUT for 2 years since the initial comment you failed to give a serious reply on the lack of a menstrual cycle tracker. It concerns about half of your customers after all. -
Withings, given the wealth of health related data you have access to, it must be abundantly clear that menstural cycles have an impact on athletic performance, weight, waist measurements, energy levels (to name a few) essentially without a tracker you are preventing all menstruating members from collecting complete data!
Please add this function. -
Withings, why is there still no period tracker? I’d really like to be able to track all my metrics in the same place. Women have been tracking this for a really long time, it’s fairly simple. I’d like to know more about the prioritizing to track the “evolution of my home’s temp and CO2” but not have a calendar widget that essentially adds +/-28 days (based on users historical average) to a day I mark on the calendar? This really can be as simple as a basic calendar widget on your dashboard. You can make it fancy once you see half of your users flocking to use it. Come on Withings, I don’t want to have to go back to ugly fitbit.

When will you be adding a period / menstrual tracking feature to the app? I love my watch and the app, but it’s frustrating that both Apple and Fitbit have had this feature for ages, but you don’t. It concerns 50% of your customers and time of month has been proven to greatly affect athletic performance, energy levels and weight, to name a few. I don’t feel I’m able to collect complete data without that tracker. There is one for pregnancy, so why not menstruation?
-
Just adding my voice here. I’m fed up with having to track my periods on a separate app (FitBit). Surely it’s a simple thing to add when you already have so many features. Please can someone from Withings reply to this and give us all an update? Otherwise I’ll open a new request ;)

Kettricken, I did the same. Actually two models so I swap them out, a Lily and a Vivomove 3. they don't have the fantastic battery life the Nokia/Withings watch did (Vivo runs about 3-4 days between charges, the Lily about 24-36 hours) but menstrual tracking and HR monitoring is a necessity.

emiliekahle, I have both a Garmin Vivomove3 and Lily and alternate them depending on fashion and charging needs. I use the Vivo more as it has a longer capacity for battery even though it's more of a clunker on my wrist. Of course the battery life on my Withings Steel was hard to beat (and I really liked the form factor) but the menstrual tracking was what prompted me to switch. I tried a Fitbit Charge 3 first for about three weeks and hated it. Constant reminders and "alerts" that were hard to silence on the device itself and the app was glitchy on my Android phone. No such problems with Garmin Connect.

emiliekahle, I have a garmin forerunner and although I don't love the design, I do love the watch itself. It actually made me want to run more and helped improve my performance. Of course it has a period tracker and it offers lots of options on tracking symptoms throughout the cycle, along with other really helpful features (i.e. Ability to log protected/unprotected sexual activity). Concerning the battery it lasts for about a week.
bparcelsudc, nice to hear that you are still happy with your vivo and lily :) -
bparcelsud, Kettricke, Thank you both! I've been looking at the Garmin Vivomove styles (https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/662825/pn/010-02240-02) as I did not want to go back to a Fitbit. I'll miss the Withings battery life but it sounds like it's time to make the switch since Withings clearly has no interest in serving basic health tracking for people who menstruate.
