I use the Steel HR Sport, and believe there could be a very good improvement to the device. An interval timer. The ability to set a timer based on how long you need before it buzzes on the wrist. At which point you should be able to restart the same interval when the rest period is over.

Hello,
That is certainly a neat idea, thank you for your insight!

In fact, the ONLY reason I haven't bought a Withings yet is that it doesn't have a timer of sorts. Which is also the only reason why I am considering a Garmin (the Vivomove HR) - it has a set/rep timer/counter of sorts.
But I also understand that features that aren't currently available might become available in the future through firmware upgrades?

I love my watch, but I've been looking around for a more fitness-inspired device due to this. Being able to set or trigger up to 2-3 intervals with watch buzzes as an indicator would be a game changer for me. Runners, HIIT workouts, studying, stretch breaks...the potential is endless! Even a basic timer would be amazing. I rave about this watch. I've purchased five bands, and bought the Withings scale last month. Huge advocate, if not for this feature need.

For me it's the same: I don't understand why a timer menu function is missing. It should not be a problem to include a menu in the app where you can set up 1-3 or more timer ( for example 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes ...). If you activate it, a timer menue will be on the Steel HR. You could chose the timer menue - long press the button to choose the time for example 5 minutes and start it as usual wit long pressing the button. If you dont's need the timer just don't activate it in the app.
It's that simple - just in a simular way like alarm clock menu in the app.

I've been following and upvoting here since I got my watch back in spring, and I might as well add my voice.
It's baffling that there's no timer function on this watch - as others have said, it could be implemented in the app, allowing us to create a list of set timers that we could then select on the watch just like selecting a workout. It cannot possibly be difficult thing to code for.
Others have made the workout case; my own case, as a teacher, being able to time activities with a buzz on the wrist as I walk around the classroom is extremely useful, and it's something I miss from when I used a Pebble Time. Please plug this gap, Withings!

I am desperate to buy the withings sport hr it's the only fitness watch that could look nice anywhere but why does it not have an interval timer? It's not hard every 30 seconds have a vibrate or a beep, without the option to do this it isn't a sports watch as HIIT is a key form of fitness training and having to carry a phone with me is uncomfortable. Please update it to offer this feature and I guarantee sales will shoot up
