    Under same problem,

get a Dremel tool and use a emery sanding disk to cut a new slot, or enlarge the current slot to square it up. Find a piece of metal approximately the same thickness as the new slot. Place a 90 degree bend in it. Give yourself enough length for good leverage(6 inches). Be aware, withings did not offer a replacement cap, so, be neat!

Does withings support ever read these threads? It's been 5 months since the first complaint post and no reply so far. I'm having the exact same problem with the stuck battery capsule cap.

Doesn't appear so but I did manage to get mine out in the end. I had to gouge the slot much deeper, using a flat head screwdriver and eventually was able to get enough grip with the same screwdriver to remove the cap.

I also contacted Withings and they were helpful and getting me a replacement so I suggest you submit a support request as I did.
